The Tower was in need of major repairs as a result of years of winter weather and high winds. The work is necessary to prevent further loosening of stones and water leaks. All of the original stone has been removed from Our Lady’s tower so that structural and masonry repair work could be done. Blown limestone has been applied and the work will soon be completed. 

 

The sale of the original stones will help with the over $100,000 cost of the restoration and repairs.
